Sheri,
Congradulations on the litter of pups!  Sounds exciting!   Zarrah is happy and healthy.   Will try and send you some updated pics.   If you want to update our/her info on your site,... I never did get in to do any training w/ the Bozeman group,... just have been up and running w/ the SAR training w/ High Country Search and Rescue.  We got in 2 water workout seminars this summer, and 2 other training workouts w/ the HC SAR . They are great people and have shared a wealth of knowledge.  We will have a workout in Cody, Wy this Jan.   My goal is to get her and I certified in at least level 2 of tracking/ cadaver and water cadaver this next summer.   She seems to have the most drive tracking, with the water cadaver work actually being another very strong drive for her.   Her first time off the boat she jumnped in about 30 yds from scent and swam the cone right in to it!   Then it was another 6-8 wks before we were out in a boat again, and once again, she  caught the scent and swam directly to the source.   There were other dog teams there who had come to numerous HC SAR seminars in the past couple years and they were very impressed w/ Zarrah and wanted to know how long I had been working her on the water!   They couldn't believe this summer was her first time on the water.    I will gladly put the word out on your puppies.   I couldn't be happier and wouldn't trade her and her work ethic for anything!
Have a blessed Christmas season!

Sheri,

I just wanted to say thank you so very much for this wonderful German Shepherd dog.  I have seen so many different dogs over the past few years that I have to say it really is very refreshing to me when I come home to Fritz.  I had dreamed of a great looking working line German shepherd dog and now I have it.  First off,  the guy is just flat out handsome.  Pretty much everywhere I go people are asking me about him and complementing me on how great he looks.

Then there is his tremendous working ability.  He is the smartest dog I have ever owned.  I love to watch how he works out the problems that I present to him with such tenacity.  He almost always figures out the problems that I send his way.  If he doesn't figure it out, he only tries harder with each attempt.  There is no quit in this guy.

I have really also enjoyed teaching him to track.  He has really taken a likening to it and is doing well.  I can't wait to see how far he can go.  He does a very good job of keeping his nose down and I am teaching him with motivational methods.  He has so much desire to work.

As you already know, Fritz really has a nice full grip when doing bite work.  He also starts to alert the moment he sees the helper.  I finally have him sitting in place and doing a bark and hold for about 15 to 20 seconds.  I only see him getting better and better at this as time goes on.

Thanks again for selling me this tremendous boy.  I will be sure to keep you updated.

Hmm… Where do I start this story of our journey to find the perfect German Shepherd puppy? I’d have to start by saying my husband always wanted a German Shepherd puppy and not just any German Shepherd puppy either. I must have looked at hundreds of web-sights (showing him the best choices) on top of looking at several local breeders of mediocre shepherds. Every time I thought I’d found a great puppy for him that would be suitable he turned it (or usually the parents) down for countless reasons.

When I saw Sheri’s ad for puppies and viewed her web-sight with my husband we saw our future puppy, Fury (white collar male, Karma x Orin). My husband said, that’s the one I want, period. Then we had to call the breeder, Sheri. After dealing with several breeders over the phone we knew there were many breeders that didn’t let you choose your puppy, so we were anxious to talk with the breeder. Sheri spoke with me in detail about the puppies, their temperaments, and what we were looking for. She tries very hard to match families/individuals with the right puppy.

When we went to Sheri’s home and picked up Fury you could tell the puppies adore Sheri and it is very obvious she cares a great deal for her puppies too.  All the puppies were robust, healthy, and playful. Sheri has the land and time to raise German Shepherd puppies properly.

Fury’s mother, Karma, WOW, not only is she a beautiful female in pictures, she is outstanding in person. To top that off she is social, full of energy and I’m sure a great asset to the upbringing of her puppies.

A month after we had our puppy I took him to a training session where I met his father, Orin and his brother, Ruger & sister, Nemah (from a Orin x Karma’s full sister mating). His father and brother are gorgeous, large, dark and bear like with impressive muzzles and heads, very massive, athletically structured dogs. His sister is an energetic female that loves to work and is just as beautiful with rich, defined coloring. These dogs just have a look about them, you can tell they are high bred and, metaphorically speaking, it’s like owning a Ferrari vs. a Kia.

The bond we have with Fury is undeniable and to state that we love this puppy would be a understatement indeed. Fury is a full fledged member of our family and, unlike any dog we’ve ever had, he (from day one) inherently understood we are is family. He stays close, is quick to pick up manners and is eager to please.

Based on everything I have seen, heard, or been exposed to would I recommend Sheri as a breeder? Yes, absolutely. She is caring, helpful and answers your questions, even after the sale. Would I recommend a Karma x Orin puppy- 110% but ONLY if you desire a REAL German Shepherd Dog with drop-dead gorgeous looks!

Hi Sheri,

I had the pleasure the other day to see and work with Barrett (K9 in training)....He is doing well! I have never seen a pup that was so unshakable. The officer and I took him into many new environments and it was as if he had been there many times. He is coming along very nicely and he is exactly what you said he would be. It looks as if we may have another great K9 in Cheyenne WY:) I want to thank you and Martina for your honesty and hard work to produce stable balanced drive working dogs. You should be very proud of your little guy. I will keep you posted as he matures.

Best regards,
Curt Rodebaugh
